- Fifth positioning pass landed it here: a private film-location index. Homes are listed by code name with a region and no public address; owners earn film-rate day fees ($12,000–$15,000 positioning); credentials are verified before files are shared.
- Public pages show representative examples only, never live listings — by design.
- Two intake forms are built (owner listing request + industry access request) but post in demo mode until FORM_ENDPOINT is configured in js/config.js.
- Sister site to listyourcar.ca — productions source the location here and the hero car there.
Paths forward
Hand-recruited pilot leaning
Ten exceptional homes and five location managers, recruited personally. Deliberately supply-constrained; if demand bites, scale region by region. If not, the lesson was cheap.
Open listings
Drop the private-index positioning for volume. Explicitly rejected for now — privacy is the differentiator.
Requirements to update
The working checklist for the leaning path. Completed items move to the progress log below with the date they landed.
- Set FORM_ENDPOINT so both intake forms actually deliver
- Recruit 10 homes (personal network first) and build their private files
- Recruit 5 location managers/scouts and grant verified access
- Draft the NDA and verification checklist the positioning promises
- Define the fee/commission structure before the first booking
