Current state snapshot · 5 August 2026
- Went public 3 August 2026 — launched dark behind a noindex header and disallow-all robots while it ran on sample data; the switch was flipped deliberately, with a sitemap added the same day.
- The premise: post what you're throwing out, say how long you'll wait, and let the people who need it come get it.
- Listings, testimonials and impact figures are still sample data.
- Deploys ship from a sanitized staging copy so internal strategy docs never reach the CDN, with forced 404 rules as backstop.
Paths forward
One-neighborhood pilot leaning
Seed real listings in a single neighborhood and watch what moves. Everything else needs real listings to point at.
Hauler partnerships
Haulers want the routes; the listings are lead flow for them. Viable second act after the pilot proves liquidity.
Sustainability angle
Lean into the furniture-waste story — makes it a mission, not a junk board. Compatible with either path above.
Requirements to update
The working checklist for the leaning path. Completed items move to the progress log below with the date they landed.
- Pick the pilot neighborhood
- Build the real posting flow (form-based MVP is fine to start)
- Replace sample listings, testimonials and impact figures with real ones
- Set a pickup-rate target that defines pilot success
- Keep strategy docs out of the publish tree (sanitized deploy is now the standard)
Progress log
Append-only. Each entry is a dated snapshot — when recommendations are adopted and the review runs again, the delta lands here.
- 5 August 2026 Baseline assessment
- Verified live (HTTP 200).
- Publicly indexable since 3 Aug; all data still sample; no posting backend.
